A sense of purpose: „Idź przez życie tak, aby ślady twoich stóp pozostały wieczne”

Running a business, especially during times of uncertainty, means lots of noise, being buffeted from one side to another; it means working crazy long hours, getting knocked back, getting noticed, celebrating wins and learning some life lessons quickly. Whilst the last few years have seen PAB go from strength to strength, it has not all been a smooth sailing for me. When I moved to the UK, for about the first two years my dad would not speak to me. My parents wanted for my professional career to progress in Poland, under their umbrella, and they did not like the idea of me being a migrant. Championing good understanding of cross-cultural challenges and promoting a more inclusive culture within the UK, it’s an initiative aiming to: ‍ Enable thriving relationships  between companies, institutions and people from different countries and cultures. Create amore welcoming and supportive democratic society  by championing cross-cultural awareness and promoting inclusivity. Foster good relations  by working with partners to raise cross-cultural expectations - and a thorough understanding of these builds a strong sense of community belonging within neighbourhoods. Celebrating Cultural and Language Diversity Events to mark our 10th Anniversary

12 months ago today we launched Celebrating Cultural and Language Diversity Events to mark our 10th Anniversary. As a result of our Events, we opened interesting dialogues and over 300 people not only heard from us and our partners, how to overcome language and cultural barriers but also identified the opportunities diversity can bring.  We raised awareness about the importance and benefits of equality, diversity and inclusion with over 10 000 social media engagements. We were asked to participate in school talks and promote diverse languages and cultures further. We signed up for the local Chamber Schools initiative to become volunteers within schools to speak with students about progression into studying languages and sharing experiences.  LINCOLN  NOTTINGHAM LEEDS  BOSTON PETERBOROUGH NOTTINGHAM COLCHESTER NOTTINGHAM Find out more and get involved here.
